1. Is it easy to learn Bahasa Indonesia?

Bahasa Indonesia or Indonesian language is considered one of the easiest languages to learn in the world. It is because unlike many European languages, there are very few grammar rules in the language and there is no difference in meaning for different tones.

  1. How long does it take for me to learn Indonesian in order to be able to communicate with the locals?

Our teaching method is based on the latest approach on teaching Indonesian to foreign students. We use the most efficient and effective way to enable the students to speak Indonesian in meaningful contexts even from the early stages of learning.

  1. What is the learning schedule like?

As we provide private classes, we have very flexible learning schedule. We are available every day from Monday to Sunday, from 5 am to 10 pm each day, Jakarta time. We are also available on national holidays such as New Year, Easter, Christmas day. Simply let us know your preferred learning schedule before the class starts.

  1. Do you provide private classes only?

Yes, it is a 1-on-1 system, meaning 1 teacher for 1 student. Please feel free to contact us if you have more than 1 student interested in learning Indonesian at the same time with you.

  1. What are the course payment and mode of payment like?

Full payment must be received before you start learning. You can make payment via our secure online payment (Paypal.com) or direct bank transfer for those residing in Indonesia.

  1. How is the procedure to reschedule the lesson?

You can reschedule the lesson within no less than 12 hours before the class session to be missed via email. We are truly sorry that if you do not notify your teacher regarding a cancellation within less than 12 hours prior to their schedule will forfeit that session. If you are late to the class, the missing hour or minutes will not be rescheduled either.

  1. Is it possible if I want to use my own Indonesian books?

No problem at all. Please feel free to let us know should you prefer to use your own Indonesian learning materials. You can either send them via emails or hard copy to us via snail mail.

  1. Are all the teachers native Indonesian speakers?

Yes, all of our teachers are English speaking, native Indonesian teachers. We provide only qualified teachers experienced in teaching Indonesian to non-native speakers for more than 10 years.

  1. Can I focus on conversation only?

Conversation class is suitable for those who have at least learned Indonesian grammar and have enough vocabulary to converse in Indonesian. However we also have conversation class for beginners so that all learning materials are fully customized to meet each individual’s needs and interests.

  1. Is it possible for me to learn the spoken Indonesian as well?

As Indonesian language is developing very fast, the number of new spoken phrases and terms is increasing, too. For new leaners it might seem very confusing to learn the colloquial words as well so we’d strongly recommend that you concentrate on the formal language first before moving on learning the colloquial terms and phrases.
