Why Learn Bahasa Indonesia in Bandung
There are many good reasons why you should learn Bahasa Indonesia in Bandung. Being the number 3 largest city in Indonesia, Bandung is the only big city in Indonesia which is located on highland, resulting in very cool weather. Being nicknamed the “Paris of Java” by the Dutch, Bandung has been one of the most liked cities in Indonesia, thanks to its wonderful climate and friendly people.
It’s always been said that in order to speak Indonesian, you have to practice the language as often as possible, preferably with the locals. By staying in Bandung, you’ll have a lot of opportunity to practice speaking the language with people around you. But why Bandung? Unlike some other cities in Indonesia where many people can speak foreign language (including English) quite well, there are not many people who can speak English here. This would create a very good situation for you to really speak Indonesian language with them. If you happen to be in a city where there are many English speaking people around you, chances are, they’d also want to practice their English with you and you won’t have even the slightest chance to practice your Bahasa Indonesia. That’s why when you’re deciding where to learn Indonesian language, choose a city where there are not many English speaking people around you.
